Eighteen Minds in Motion staff members recently took an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid course at Clifton School 12.
Minds in Motion is a Federally Funded formally known as Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center. The program is to supplement the education for 203 students in grades 3-5 between Schools 4, 12 & 17 from 2:50 PM to 6:00 PM.
The program aims to assist students in attaining the skills necessary to meet New Jersey’s Student Learning Standards. We provide students with opportunities to explore a wide variety of STEAM activities while infusing character development into all program activities and field trips as well as a healthy snack and hot supper each day. Our program is a balanced collaboration between the school faculty, staff and The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton.
The staff took the American Heart Association course present by Safety NJ instructors Scott Larson and Ruben Martinez in order to be prepared for possible emergencies at the school.
