Q: How long is the DVD for the Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course?
A: The DVD is 25 minutes.
Q: Is the DVD closed-captioned?

Q: Who can teach the Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course?
A: Per the standard for bloodborne pathogens training, “the person conducting the training shall be knowledgeable in the subject matter covered by the elements contained in the training program as it relates to the workplace that the training will address.” Usually, instructors who already conduct bloodborne pathogens training are qualified. Instructors (whether American Heart Association Instructors or not) wishing to teach this course must be content experts knowledgeable on Standard 1910.1030. Instructors should also review the Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens student and instructor materials, and/or take the online course. Because bloodborne pathogens Instructors do not have to be American Heart Association Instructors, they do not have to take the American Heart Association Core Instructor Course and do not receive an Instructor card from the American Heart Association.
Q: Are the materials in this package sold separately?
A: Only the posters are sold separately. These may be purchased in packages of 5 in English (item no. EC80-1502) and Spanish (item no. EC80-2371).
